These mollusks are polyphagous pests, capable of causing significant damage to a wide range of agricultural crops. They frequently infest cereals, legumes, oilseed crops like sunflowers and rapeseed, and various horticultural plants. Mass occurrences can lead to the total loss of seedlings and young shoots.
