Description
Iprovalicarb is a highly effective active ingredient belonging to the chemical class of amino acid carbamate derivatives (valinamide carbamates group). This pesticide is a specialized fungicide designed to control fungal diseases caused by oomycetes, which can cause significant damage to crops under high humidity conditions.
The mode of action of iprovalicarb is based on inhibiting the biosynthesis of phospholipids and fatty acids within the pathogen's cells. This leads to the disruption of the integrity of the fungal cell membranes, making it impossible for the fungus to grow, develop, and spread throughout the plant. The substance exhibits distinct systemic and translaminar properties, rapidly penetrating leaf tissues.
The primary area of application for this compound is the protection of agricultural crops against downy mildew. It shows the highest efficiency in controlling grapevine downy mildew, as well as protecting potatoes and tomatoes from late blight. Iprovalicarb is frequently used in combination with other products, which helps broaden the spectrum of control and prevent the development of pathogen resistance.
Application features require strict adherence to regulatory protocols: treatments should be carried out during the active vegetative growth of the plants, preferably before the first symptoms of the disease appear. The product has good resistance to rainfall washout; however, the number of applications must be limited to reduce the pesticide load on the soil and prevent the development of fungal resistance.
- Prevention of downy mildew in grapevines
- Control of late blight in vegetable crops
- Systemic protection of young shoots
- Reduction of fungal resistance risk
Safety measures when handling iprovalicarb are standard for fungicide use: the use of personal protective equipment for skin, respiratory, and eye protection is mandatory. Avoid introducing spray solutions into water bodies and strictly observe the pre-harvest intervals established for each specific crop to ensure the safety of the final product for the consumer.
