Methidathion

Methidathion is a non-systemic organophosphate insecticide and acaricide known for its broad-spectrum control of various agricultural pests. It acts primarily through contact and ingestion, making it a critical tool for managing difficult-to-control insects in orchards and plantations.

The mechanism of action involves the inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, which is essential for the normal functioning of the insect's nervous system.
