Corydalis triternata is a herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to the Papaveraceae family. The native habitat of this species is characterized by shaded mountain forest slopes, primarily under the canopy of beech and hornbeam trees. As an ephemeral, it completes its vegetative and reproductive cycle early in the spring, avoiding the high temperatures and dry conditions of the summer months that occur in its natural range.
