Negev Saxaul (Haloxylon negevensis) is a perennial shrub belonging to the Amaranthaceae family. It serves as an essential species for arid land agriculture, highly adapted to saline soils and environments with extremely low annual precipitation, where traditional crops cannot thrive.

Originating from the Middle East, specifically the Negev Desert, this plant is distributed across arid zones in Israel and neighboring regions.
