Haworthia bolusii is a miniature perennial succulent belonging to the Asphodelaceae family. The species originates from the arid regions of South Africa, specifically the Cape Province. In its natural habitat, it is a lithophyte, frequently found nestled in rock crevices or among pebbles. This environment provides the plant with essential drainage and shelter from harsh, direct heat while allowing it to capture moisture from nocturnal dew.
Botanically, Haworthia bolusii forms dense, globe-shaped rosettes. The succulent leaves are fleshy and often translucent at the tips, which serves a physiological purpose: light enters the leaf interior to support photosynthesis while the underlying tissues remain protected from heat damage. The plant typically blooms with small, tubular, whitish-pink flowers on a slender stalk.
