This pathogen targets economically important crops such as carrots, parsnips, celery, and parsley. It also impacts wild relatives of these crops, which often act as an unnoticed reservoir for the fungus within agricultural landscapes and surrounding habitats.
Symptoms of the infection manifest as small, raised bumps that eventually develop into prominent galls.
