The fruits of this variety are large and sweet: the mass of one nut is 2.8–3 g, and the kernel yield is about 50 %. The shell is thin, not uniform with pitting, but easily crushed by hands, which facilitates processing. The nuts have an oily taste and retain their taste qualities for up to three years with proper storage.
Yield is very high – from one adult tree, 10–15 kg of fruits can be collected. The variety is characterized by resistance to diseases, as well as a high tendency to form double-kernel nuts (about 20 %). For optimal growth, almond "Dessert" prefers sandy and loamy soils with good drainage; when planting, it is important to mulch and periodically fertilize with organic fertilizers. Regular pruning of branches contributes to increased fruitfulness, and infrequent watering – 5–6 times during the summer – ensures drought resistance.
