IRISTON

The amaranth variety Iriston is distinguished by its high productivity and photosynthetic efficiency, as confirmed by studies conducted on medium-salt meadow-chestnut soils in Dagestan. It demonstrates the highest leaf surface indicators among the studied varieties, such as Kizlyarets and Valentina, which contributes to its high yield. The leaf surface of the Iriston variety reaches 52.1 thousand m²/ha, which significantly exceeds similar indicators of other varieties, ensuring more intensive use of solar energy and soil resources.

The optimal sowing method for the Iriston variety is the wide-row method with row spacing of 0.45 m. Such a sowing method promotes maximum development of the leaf surface and an increase in net photosynthetic productivity, which for the Iriston variety reaches values of 1.45–1.52 g/m² per day, which is significantly higher than for other varieties. This ensures high biomass and yield, which according to research data reaches 30.9 t/ha, significantly exceeding the indicators of other amaranth varieties.

Thus, the Iriston variety is a promising choice for cultivation on meadow-chestnut soils in the conditions of Dagestan. Its high photosynthetic activity and adaptation to optimal sowing methods make it effective for obtaining high yields. Recommendations for wide-row sowing with a row spacing of 0.45 m allow fully realizing the variety's potential, which is important for agrarians seeking to increase productivity and crop stability.
