Nicoter

Apple variety Nicoter, also known as Kanzhi, is a winter variety of Belgian selection, obtained by crossing Gala and Braeburn varieties. The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 2.5 to 3.5 meters, with a spreading and moderately dense crown. The variety is early-bearing, enters fruiting on the 3rd-4th year, and is characterized by high productivity. Flowering occurs in mid-season, and harvest takes place at the end of September — beginning of October.

Nicoter apples are large, averaging 180-200 grams, with smooth yellow-green skin and bright, but diffuse red blush. The flesh is pale yellow or cream-colored, firm, very crisp and juicy, with a pleasant balanced sweet-sour taste. The apples have high marketability and transportability, making them convenient for storage and transport. Under refrigerated conditions, fruits can be stored for 6-7 months until April, and under special storage conditions — until summer.

Nicoter variety is characterized by high cold resistance and immunity to diseases, allowing cultivation in organic farming. Apples are primarily intended for fresh consumption, but also suitable for culinary use. Due to its taste qualities and durability, this variety is a valuable choice for gardeners aiming to obtain high-quality, long-lasting harvests.
