Description
The Havsky Bouquet aster is an intermediate variety between rose-like and Victoria, distinguished by abundant and prolonged flowering. The plant forms a compact bush with a height of 30 to 62 cm and a diameter of about 35 cm. Up to 18-25 double carmine-red inflorescences bloom simultaneously on strong stems, maintaining their brightness and decorativeness until frost. The inflorescences have a diameter of up to 5 cm and consist of short petals bent outwards, densely overlapping each other, which gives the flowers a festive and neat appearance.
For successful cultivation of the Havsky Bouquet aster, it is recommended to choose well-lit areas with fertile, loamy or sandy loam soil. The plant has high frost resistance and can withstand frosts down to -3-4 °C. Most often, the aster is grown using the seedling method: seeds are sown in March-April, pricked out when the first pair of true leaves appears with an interval of 5x5 cm, and then the seedlings are transplanted into open ground from mid-May to early June. The distance between plants should be 20 cm for dwarf varieties and 30-35 cm for tall varieties.
In addition to the traditional seedling method, winter sowing of seeds in late October at a depth of 5-8 cm followed by mulching with peat or sawdust is also possible. Thanks to its compact size and bright flowering, the Havsky Bouquet aster is excellent for landscaping flower beds, flower beds, borders, and can also be grown in pots, making it a versatile and attractive choice for gardeners.
