Pink Flamingo

The 'Pink Flamingo' aster belongs to the peony-like variety group and features a pyramid-shaped plant with a height of 60 to 75 cm, bearing 10-15 flower stems. The double flowers consist of long, pink, tubular petals that curl towards the center, giving them a striking and decorative appearance. This variety is distinguished by its high cold-hardiness and can withstand frosts down to -3-4 °C, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.

For successful cultivation of the Pink Flamingo, it is recommended to choose well-lit areas with fertile loamy or sandy-loam soil. The aster is most often grown using a seedling method: seeds are sown in March-April, potted at the appearance of the first pair of true leaves with an interval of 5x5 cm, and seedlings are planted in open ground from mid-May to early June. Winter sowing at the end of October with subsequent mulching using peat or sawdust is also possible, which helps harden off the plants and their resistance to frosts.

Pink Flamingo is widely used for cut flowers and floral arrangements due to its large and bright flowers. The variety is characterized by good growth strength and decorative qualities, making it a popular choice among gardeners and florists. Thanks to its characteristics, the aster is perfect for creating colorful flower beds and decorating home gardens.
