SULIKO

SULIKO — a variety of annual Chinese aster calistephus belonging to the Princess group. Plants form a moderately sprawling, densely branched, and wide bush with a height of about 70-90 cm and a diameter of up to 70 cm. Flower stalks are sturdy, reaching a length of 50-65 cm, which ensures reliable support for large inflorescences. Inflorescences are densely double, semi-spherical or flat-round, with a diameter of about 9.5-10 cm. Ray florets are wide, about 4 cm long, arranged in 3-4 rows along the edge of the flower head, and have a dark blue-violet color. The central part of the flower head is formed by numerous tubular florets about 3 cm long, colored in the same shade as the marginal florets.

The variety is characterized by a mid-late flowering period, which lasts about 60-70 days, starting in August and continuing until October. Plants grow quickly and have an average number of branches per bush from 8 to 16. SULIKO is resistant to fusarium and adverse weather conditions, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions. The root system is fibrous, which contributes to good rooting and plant nutrition.

For successful cultivation, moderate watering and placement in areas with partial shade or sunny exposure are recommended. The soil should be light, neutral, and fertile. Despite resistance to some diseases, the variety may be affected by diseases such as gray mold, powdery mildew, rust, and others, as well as pests, including aphids, spider mites, and slugs. SULIKO will be a wonderful garden decoration thanks to its large, bright, and densely double purple flowers with a moderate aroma.
