Description
Astra TATYANIN DEN — an annual plant with large ray double semi-double inflorescences of red-lilac color, 11-12 cm in diameter. The bush reaches a height of 60-65 cm and forms from 10 to 14 inflorescences, making it an eye-catching element of a flower bed. Blooming lasts from August to October, allowing you to enjoy bright and lush flowers for a long time.
The plant prefers sunny open places, but also tolerates partial shade well. For successful cultivation of astra, it is recommended to use light, fertile soils. It is important to avoid applying organic fertilizers in the year of planting, as this can negatively affect plant development. Seeds are sown from mid-February to April at a depth of about 0.5 cm. At a soil temperature of about +20 °C, seedlings appear within 7-14 days.
After seedlings appear, thinning is carried out after 3-4 weeks, and then seedlings are grown at a temperature of +12-15 °C. Transplanting into open ground is carried out in the second half of May, maintaining a distance between plants of 20-30 cm. Astra TATYANIN DEN is widely used for planting in mixed flower beds in groups, on borders in rows, and is also excellent for cutting, making it a versatile and attractive choice for gardeners.
