The perennial aster 'Beloe More' (White Sea) is a product of the Botanical Garden-Institute of the FEB RAS. Unlike standard varieties that often suffer from powdery mildew and require staking, this cultivar displays remarkable compactness and resilience. Nataliya Aleksandrovna Pavlyuk, the breeder behind this hybrid, focused on creating a high-performance plant that requires minimal maintenance, making it perfect for busy gardeners.

Why does 'Beloe More' stand out?

• Compact Habit: At a height of 30–50 cm, the plant holds its shape firmly without the need for support, making it an excellent choice for front-border planting.
• Flower Size: A diameter of 8–10 cm is impressive for perennial asters. The blooms are large and vibrant, creating a striking pink focal point in the autumn garden.
• Winter Hardiness: Developed in the harsh climate of the Russian Far East, this variety is well-adapted to severe winters and does not require complex winter protection.

Pros and Cons: The main advantage is the high ornamental value of the blooms and their suitability for cutting, which is rare for such low-growing perennials.
