«Dagestansky Zolotisty» is a winter barley variety developed by the Vavilov Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (VIR). Engineered for high-intensity farming, it balances a 100–110 day growth cycle with robust physiological traits.

Grain Quality and Structural Engineering

The variety features a two-row spike, ensuring consistent grain development and uniform filling. With a 1000-kernel weight of 48–50 grams, it ranks high for grain density. The nitrogen content of 12% in the dry matter provides excellent nutritional value, making it highly competitive for commercial yield requirements.

Phytosanitary Resilience

The variety’s genetic architecture is designed to minimize the reliance on chemical fungicides. It exhibits superior resistance to loose smut and shows strong natural defenses against a broad spectrum of diseases:
