KWS Vermont

Spring barley variety KWS Vermont is a high-yielding grain-forage type, suitable for cultivation in various soil-climatic conditions, including poor and slightly acidic soils. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by vigorous tillering and high bushiness, contributing to high yields reaching up to 125 centners per hectare on favorable sites. The 1000-grain weight ranges from 46 to 55 grams, indicating large grain size and high quality.

KWS Vermont variety exhibits resistance to major diseases and lodging, ensuring stable yields and reducing the risk of losses under adverse weather conditions. Thanks to its grain protein content of 10.6–12.5%, this barley is a valuable feed component for livestock. It is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region, particularly in Lipetsk and Tambov regions, but also performs well on various soil types.
