The spring barley variety «Sonet» is an intensive, mid-late maturity and medium-height variety intended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central and Northwestern. The plant is characterized by a semi-erect ear and large grain, which contributes to high-quality yield. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, which ensures the stability of crops and reduces losses under adverse weather conditions.

The yield of the «Sonet» variety is one of its key advantages. The average yield is about 5.37 tons per hectare, and under optimal conditions can reach 6.2-7.5 tons per hectare. Maximum yield figures in the Central region reach 82.5 centners per hectare. The grain of the variety contains a high level of protein - from 12 to 16%, which makes it attractive for use in feed and food purposes. The content of crude protein in the grain is 1.4-1.5% higher than the Zazersky 85 variety.
