Description
The heads are round-convex in shape, light green in color with a white inner part, dense structure, and weight ranging from 1.9 to 3 kg. This density allows the heads to maintain their market quality during long transportation and storage, as well as prevents cracking in the field for up to two weeks after maturity. Due to these characteristics, Checkmate F1 is suitable not only for fresh consumption and salad preparation but also for pickling and other processing methods.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to maintain a planting density of 4.5–5 plants per square meter. The hybrid requires increased nitrogen fertilization during the initial growth stage and higher potassium fertilization during head formation, which promotes the development of high-quality, large yields. Cabbage Checkmate F1 is distinguished by its high yield and versatility, making it an attractive choice for farmers and gardeners.
