Excellent taste, high yield and marketability of root crops

Mazurka — a medium-late maturing variety of carrot for general use. Vegetative period from germination to technical maturity is 120-130 days. The root is conical in shape, with a smooth surface and slightly expressed eyes, 21-23 cm long, weighing 100-150 g. The surface is intensely orange, the flesh is red-orange, juicy, with excellent flavor. The medium-late carrot variety Mazurka is valued for its high marketability, yield (60-80 t/ha) and good storability. It is used for fresh consumption and for canning. It is recommended to sow the Mazurka carrot variety after crops for which organic fertilizers were applied. Carrots are sown directly into the field, either on ridges or without them. The ridge method for growing the medium-late carrot variety Mazurka is ideal in areas with sufficient moisture on heavy and medium soils, as well as when using irrigation. This method allows obtaining uniform, long roots with high market quality. Harvesting is also facilitated. When growing Mazurka carrots without ridges, use row sowing. Row spacing should be 30-45 cm. One modification of row sowing is the strip-row sowing. In this case, seeds are sown in four rows, each spaced 20-30 cm apart.
