Description
Divna is a hybrid of cherry and sour cherry, combining the best qualities of both species. The tree is medium-sized with a wide, rounded crown inherited from cherry, while its branches and buds resemble sour cherry. The flowers are large, white, clustered in racemes on short pedicels, promoting high early fruiting: the first fruits appear as early as the 2nd-3rd year after planting, and abundant fruiting begins in the 4th year. The tree is cold-resistant and resistant to fungal diseases, ensuring a stable yield each year. The fruits of the Divna variety are large, weighing from 9 to 15 grams, with a rich dark red or bright red skin and pale flesh with veins. They have a dessert-like flavor, juicy, sweet, without acidity, with a subtle aroma of both cherry and sour cherry simultaneously. The fruit shape is slightly flattened, the skin is glossy and medium density. The stone is medium-sized and round. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for making compotes, jams, and other processed products. Fruit transportability is moderate, allowing them to retain quality during transit. The Divna variety is distinguished by its early ripening — fruits are ready for harvest as early as the first decade of June. Thanks to its cold resistance and disease resistance, the tree develops well and begins fruiting quickly. This hybrid is ideal for cultivation in various climatic conditions, providing delicious and large berries with excellent market qualities.
