Jerdevskaya Krasavitsa

The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Lyubskaya and Pamyat Vavilova. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Selection of Fruit Plants named after I.V. Michurin. Author O.S. Zhukov. The variety was submitted for state testing in 2000.

Medium-sized tree with a medium-dense, rounded crown. Shoots are medium, straight, brownish. Buds are conical, pointed, brown, pressed against the shoot. Leaves are large, elliptical, short-pointed, dark green, smooth, flat blade, apex gradually pointed, base rounded. No pubescence on the underside. Stipules are medium, late-falling. Petiole is medium in length and thickness, green, with few, medium-sized stipules. Flowers are large, white. Fruit-bearing on inflorescence branches and on last year's growth.

Fruits 17 mm tall and 15 mm in diameter, large, weighing 5.0 g, one-dimensional, oval shape, apex rounded, small depression, base with indentation, medium pit, medium-deep ventral suture, barely noticeable. Main fruit color is orange, covering color — dark red, subcutaneous spots barely noticeable, gray, medium quantity. Skin is medium. Flesh is orange, juicy, juice color red. Fruit flavor 5.0 points, slightly acidic-sweet. Dry matter content in fruits — 15.0%, sugars — 7.0%, acids — 1.5%, ascorbic acid — 20.6 mg/100g. Transportability medium. The variety is both table and technical. Fruit stalk is medium in length and thickness, easily detaches from the branch, attachment to the stone is strong. Stone is medium-sized, oval, easily separates from the flesh.

The variety is partially self-fertile. Best pollinators — Vladimirskaia and Lyubskaya.

Advantages of the variety: high-quality fruits for table and technical purposes, moderate growth, stable yield, resistance to coccomyces, good winter hardiness, high annual yield, early ripening.

Disadvantages: fruit flavor slightly inferior to the Vladimirskaya variety.
