Elegantna

The 'Elegantna' cherry and sour cherry variety is a high-yielding, self-fertile medium-sized tree with an easily shaped crown. The fruits of this variety are medium-sized, weighing from 5 to 10 grams, dark red in color, and flat-round in shape. The flesh is sweet, without acidity, with a distinct aroma, juicy and translucent, giving the fruits high flavor quality. Ripening occurs in the third decade of June, allowing for an early harvest.

The tree is cold-resistant and resistant to major diseases such as coccomyces and moniliosis, and also has good drought tolerance. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including northern and central regions. The crown is broadly oval, branches are thick and strong, gray-brown in color, providing good resistance and longevity of the plant.

For successful cultivation of 'Elegantna', it is recommended to select fertile, well-drained soils with groundwater depth not less than 1.5-2 meters. Flat areas or gentle southern and south-western slopes, protected from cold winds, are considered optimal. When planting, recommended tree spacing schemes should be followed, taking into account the medium size of the variety, and regular watering and mulching should be provided to conserve moisture. The variety is valued for its high yield, good fruit storability, and transportability, making it attractive for both private gardeners and commercial cultivation.
