Description
Obtained from seedlings of open pollination of the 'Narodnaya' variety. Originator — All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Breeding. Authors: A.F. Kolesnikova, E.N. Dzhigadlo, A.A. Gulyaeva, Z.E. Ozheryel'eva. Under state variety testing since 1999.
Medium-growing tree, up to 3.5 m tall, pyramidal, flat, raised crown, medium density. Bark on trunk and main branches gray. Branches medium, straight, brown. Bud 3.0 mm, oval, tightly pressed to branch. Leaf oval, dark green. Apex sharply pointed, base pointed, serrated edge coarsely toothed. Many stipules, located on leaf and petiole. Petiole 35 mm long, 2.6 mm thick, pigmented. Number of flowers in inflorescence 4. Corolla diameter 21.4 mm. Petals white, freely arranged. Stigma positioned relatively higher than anthers. Pistil length 8.7 mm, stamen length 8.7 mm. Calyx shape narrow-bowl-shaped, absence of serration on calyx lobes.
Fruits weighing 3.5-4.0 g, round, height 17 mm, width 17 mm, thickness 18 mm. Fruit cavity narrow, small. Apex rounded, base of fruit with indentation. Fruits pink. Flesh pink, medium density, juicy, juice colorless. Pedicel length 41 mm, medium thickness. Stone round, 0.16 g weight, which is 4.5% of fruit weight, yellow color. Apex and base rounded. Stone separates easily from flesh.
Fresh fruit tasting score 4.4 points. Good fruit detachment from pedicel. Dessert variety. Fruits contain 22.4% soluble solids, 15.49% sugars, 0.71% acids.
Flowering in mid-season (May 10-15). Fruit ripening period medium (July 15). Enters fruiting at 3rd year. Bears fruit on bouquet branches and previous year’s shoots. Self-sterile. Tree winter hardiness medium, flower bud winter hardiness high. Relatively resistant to coccomycosis and moniliosis. Average yield 68.9 centners/ha, maximum 107.2 centners/ha.
Advantages: winter hardiness, yield.
Disadvantages: relative resistance to fungal diseases.
