Description
Selected based on marker traits among seedlings of the Bryansk Rose variety. Developed by M.V. Kanshina at the Lupine Research Institute. Introduced into the State Register in 2001 for the Central Region.
Fast-growing, medium-sized tree with a medium-density, pyramidal crown. Medium-sized bud, vegetative egg-shaped, strongly deviated, generative oval. Leaves green, broad, elliptical in shape. Leaf blade flat, apex short-pointed, base rounded, large double-toothed. Petiole long, thick, pigmented along its entire length, with 2 red glands. Inflorescence has 2-3 medium-sized flowers, corolla bowl-shaped, petals arranged freely, white, stigma at the same level as stamens, calyx cup-shaped, stamens and stigma long. Bears fruit on bouquet branches.
Fruit: average mass 4.9 g, maximum 5.8 g, height 18 mm, width 18 mm, thickness 16 mm. Fruits round, medium depression, rounded apex, fruit color nearly black, flesh and juice dark red, flesh firm. Peduncle long, medium thickness. Pit oval, mass 0.27 g (5.5% of fruit mass), light brown, apex pointed, base rounded, separates easily from flesh. Flesh juicy, sweet, taste 4.5 points, dry detachment. Universal use. Dry matter content — 17.6%, sugars — 13%, acids — 0.59%, ascorbic acid — 10.4 mg/100g.
Flowering and ripening are medium. Begins fruiting at 5 years. Self-sterile. Best pollinators: Iputy, Ovstuzhenka, Odrinka. Average yield 82 centners/ha, maximum 146 centners/ha. High winter hardiness of tree and flower buds. After harsh winters, tree damage was 0.2 points, flower bud damage — 5%, compared to control variety Zolotaya Loшitskaya — respectively 3.9 points and 65%. After spring frosts, 64% of stamens died. Resistant to fungal diseases.
