Trailing clover VIK 70 is a high-quality variety of white clover intended for use in agronomy to improve soil and create a dense green cover. This variety features a creeping growth type with strongly branched, tender green stems without pubescence. Leaves have a central leaflet of short and narrow shape, while inflorescences are represented by spherical heads with white flowers. Seeds are heart-shaped, yellow in color, with a mass of 1000 seeds ranging from 0.6 to 0.8 grams. Plant foliation reaches 50-80%, contributing to the formation of a dense sward.

Variety VIK 70 possesses high winter hardiness and resistance to various diseases, including crown rust and rots, and is weakly susceptible to scab. It demonstrates good resistance to trampling, making it suitable for meadow-pasture use and lawn creation. The period from spring regrowth to the first cut is 53-60 days, and to full seed maturity is 117-130 days. Dry matter yield of the grass mixture reaches 7-9 tons per hectare, of which 3-4 tons come from clover, and seed yield varies from 150 to 500 kg per hectare. Crude protein content in the plant is 20-22%, while cyanogenic glycoside levels do not exceed 0.8 mg/%, ensuring safe usage.

Clover VIK 70 quickly and well forms shoots, which contributes to rapid sward recovery after mowing. Stem height reaches up to 33 cm, and the variety is characterized by good resistance to lodging. Thanks to its qualities, this variety is widely used in orchards, gardens, fields, and other agricultural plots for creating a stable and productive plant cover, improving soil structure, and enhancing its fertility.
