A reliable medium-early hybrid with high resistance to diseases and pests.
Description
Stability and Adaptability of German Breeding
When you head out into the field with the KWS "Almaz" hybrid, you immediately feel the German approach to breeding. This is a case where corn works like a reliable mechanism: predictably and efficiently. In changing climate conditions, "Almaz" demonstrates amazing adaptability. Its medium-early maturity allows for harvesting planning without last-minute rushes, which is critical for large-scale operations.
Crop Health as the Foundation of Yield
Diseases are the headache of any agronomist. Using "Almaz" significantly reduces the need for excessive fungicide treatments. The hybrid shows excellent resistance to helminthosporium and common smut. Its "immunity" to the European corn borer (stem borer) is particularly pleasing: plants remain intact until harvest, do not lodge, which facilitates combine operation and minimizes grain losses on the ground.
Versatility in Every Kernel
This hybrid is truly universal in terms of use. Looking for quality grain? "Almaz" provides excellent filling of yellow-orange kernels of the intermediate type. Need to fill the silage pit? The biomass is voluminous and nutritious, as confirmed by our green mass performance metrics.
Practical Density Recommendations
To squeeze the most out of "Almaz," we have developed a planting density strategy through practical experience:
- For areas with sufficient moisture and high fertility, maintain 80,000–90,000 plants per hectare.
- In regions with limited water availability, it is better to reduce density to 60,000–75,000 plants/ha to provide plants with space and better access to soil resources.
Working with this material is a pleasure: germination is uniform, development is vigorous, and yield remains consistently high even in difficult seasons. It is a workhorse that won't let you down at critical moments.

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
