AS 33 016 — a mid-season three-row hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) intended for silage production in the Central Chernozem region. The plant is tall with straight, slightly curved leaves of medium width and pointed or rounded tips. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is the anthocyanin pigmentation of various plant parts: moderate pigmentation of the first leaf sheath and roots at the stem base, strong pigmentation of the silk, and weak or absent pigmentation of leaf sheaths. The ear is long, cylindrical, medium-thick, with a large number of rows of silicate-type kernels colored orange. The medium ear stalk length and row density ensure high yield and quality of raw material. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity: the average yield of dry matter reaches 134.1 centners per hectare, which is 6.1% higher than the standard level, while the maximum yield in individual farms exceeded 213 centners per hectare. The average dry matter content in the plant is 35.1%, contributing to the production of high-quality silage. The vegetation period is approximately 125 days, enabling the hybrid to successfully adapt to regional conditions. Additionally, the plant demonstrates resistance to damage by the corn borer, reducing yield losses and enhancing its stability. AS 33 016 also exhibits good resistance to diseases such as stalk rot and ear fusarium, ensuring yield preservation and quality. The kernel type is dent, with orange coloring at the upper part and yellow-orange at the lower part, which is an important indicator for feed use. Due to its agronomic and biological characteristics, the hybrid is suitable for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region and provides high productivity with minimal risk of damage and disease.
