Sweet corn DMC Bonus is a late hybrid with high yield potential, reaching 15-16 tons per hectare. The crop is spring-sown, with plant height around 255 cm and rows per ear ranging from 14 to 18. The kernels are dent-type, and the FAO is 420, indicating a late maturity period. The hybrid features erect leaves and an extended silage period, contributing to efficient harvest utilization.
DMC Bonus exhibits high drought resistance and heat tolerance, as well as resistance to major pests and diseases of corn, including the corn borer and corn earworm. The hybrid demonstrates a high Stay Green effect, ensuring prolonged green mass retention and resilience to lodging for more than 30 days. The minimum soil temperature for seed sowing is 8-10 °C, and its initial growth rate and cold tolerance are rated as moderate.
The recommended plant density varies by region: 30-40 thousand plants per hectare in the southern and northern steppes, 50-60 thousand in the forest-steppe zone, and 65-75 thousand in the Polissia region.
