DN Korabi

The hybrid sweet corn DN Korabi (Corund) is a mid-early variety with FAO 250, developed for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including the steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia. The hybrid is produced by the company Prograin and the farm "Solnechnoe" from the Dnepropetrovsk region. Registered in 2017, it is characterized by high yield, reaching 53.5 c/ha in the steppe zone, 71.7 c/ha in the forest-steppe, and 59.9 c/ha in Polissia. The potential grain yield can reach up to 10-12 tons per hectare.

DN Korabi is distinguished by high resistance to adverse environmental factors. The hybrid exhibits high drought resistance (7.7-8.8 points), is resistant to lodging (8.7-9 points), and shows strong resistance to diseases, including common and gray smut, Fusarium ear rot, and corn rust, confirmed by a rating of 9 points. These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation under variable humidity and temperature conditions.

The plants of this hybrid are tall, with an ear attachment height of approximately 90 cm. Each ear forms 16 rows of kernels, with 32 kernels per row. The seeds undergo fungicide treatment and growth stimulant treatment, which promotes rapid early development and accelerated grain drying. The recommended planting rate varies depending on conditions: from 45-50 thousand seeds per hectare in dry zones to 75-80 thousand under irrigation. The hybrid requires effective temperatures for full maturity, ensuring stable grain formation.
