Corn hybrid Krasnodarsky 455 MV is a medium-late, three-line hybrid intended for grain and silage production in the North Caucasus region. Plants reach a height of 280-300 cm, with cylindrical ears 100-120 cm long, short peduncles, and colored stalks. The kernels are toothed, yellow, located in the upper part of the ear. The vegetation period is 118-120 days, corresponding to FAO maturity group 450. The hybrid has 19-20 leaves and 13 above-ground internodes on the main stem. Krasnodarsky 455 MV is characterized by high yield and stability. Over three years of testing, it exceeded regional standards by 10-12 centners per hectare, reaching up to 128.5 centners per hectare under favorable conditions. The average yield in the North Caucasus region is 55.8 centners per hectare, which is 2.2 centners per hectare higher than the standard. The hybrid is well adapted to mechanized harvesting and retains green leaves until full maturity, contributing to grain quality. The recommended plant density at harvest is 60-65 thousand per hectare. A distinctive feature of Krasnodarsky 455 MV is its high drought resistance and plasticity, allowing it to respond positively to improved agronomic conditions. The hybrid is resistant to several diseases, including southern helminthosporiosis, stalk rot, and gray leaf spot, and exhibits moderate resistance to ear fusarium and bacterial blight. However, it suffers significant damage from the corn borer. Seed production is conducted on a sterile CMS basis, ensuring high seed quality and hybrid trait stability.
