KS 135 MV

KS 135 MV is a three-line hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.) intended for grain and silage production. The hybrid belongs to the medium-early and early varieties with a vegetation period of approximately 111-116 days, allowing effective use in various climatic conditions. The grain type is intermediate, closer to starchy, with yellow-orange coloring on the upper part and orange on the lower part, ensuring high-quality harvest. The plant is of medium height with a long and thick ear, forming an average number of rows of kernels.

The KS 135 MV hybrid is characterized by high yield and resistance to various diseases, making it a reliable choice for farmers. In the Central Chernozem region, the average grain yield is 84.8 c/ha, which is 16.2% higher than the standard, and in the Lower Volga region — 78.4 c/ha (+13.7%). Maximum yield records reached 141.0 c/ha and 116.4 c/ha in individual farms. Grain moisture at harvest is around 21.6-21.9%, facilitating subsequent processing and storage.

Morphological features of the plant include slightly curved leaves with a small angle between the leaf blade and stem, strong anthocyanin root coloration at the stem base, and weak silk coloration. Tasseling occurs in early-to-medium periods, and the tassel structure features a short main axis and average branching angles. Due to its good adaptation to various regions and climatic conditions, KS 135 MV is a universal hybrid suitable for cultivation in the Central Chernozem, Lower Volga, Central, and East Siberian regions.
