KS VANTI

KS VANTI is a medium-early hybrid maize (Zea mays L.) intended for grain production. Plants of this hybrid have medium or low height, with wide, slightly curved leaves and a small angle between leaf blade and stem. The ear of KS VANTI is weakly conical, thick, medium or large in length, with a large number of rows of kernels. The kernel is intermediate type, with yellow upper part and yellow-orange lower part. The hybrid is characterized by medium or strong anthocyanic coloring of various parts of the plant, including roots, glumes and ear stalk, which is a distinctive feature of the variety.

The vegetation period of KS VANTI varies depending on the region and ranges from 90 to 113 days. Grain yield of the hybrid varies in different climatic zones: in the Central Chernozem region it reaches 71.3 ц/ha, in the Lower Volga region — about 35.8 ц/ha, and in the North Caucasus region average values are 49.4 ц/ha with maximum values up to 83.5 ц/ha. Grain moisture at harvest is at a level of about 22.7%, which facilitates subsequent processing and storage. The hybrid has good lodging resistance due to a strong stem and demonstrates high cold resistance, making it suitable for early sowing.

KS VANTI is optimal for grain production in various regions, except sandy soils, where its use is not recommended. The recommended planting density depends on moisture conditions: at sufficient moisture — 75-85 thousand plants per hectare, at insufficient moisture — 60-65 thousand plants. Due to rapid moisture release from the kernels, the hybrid reduces drying costs, enhancing cultivation profitability. Universality and stable yield make KS VANTI an attractive choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and high-yield products.
