KUBITUS

KUBITUS — this is a hybrid of corn (Zea mays L.) with high drought tolerance and intensive early vegetative development. It belongs to mid-early or early-maturing hybrids with a vegetative period of about 114 days, providing a good balance between early maturity and yield. Plants of medium height reach 250–270 cm, with ear attachment height ranging from 80 to 110 cm. Leaves are wide, and ears contain 14 to 18 rows of kernels, with 28 to 36 kernels per row, totaling 470 to 620 kernels per ear. The 1000-kernel weight is 320–340 g, and the kernel type is flinty. The hybrid is characterized by plasticity and rapid water loss, which facilitates effective use in various agroclimatic conditions. Recommended planting density varies depending on conditions: 75–85 thousand plants per hectare under favorable conditions and 55–65 thousand under unfavorable conditions. KUBITUS is suitable for grain, silage, as well as for producing compound feed and grit, making it a versatile choice for agricultural enterprises. The average dry matter content in green mass is about 46.1%, indicating high-quality feedstock. Yield of the hybrid in various regions reaches 77.3 to 130 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding standard benchmarks. KUBITUS exhibits moderate resistance to pathogens such as common rust and corn stem borer, enhancing its cultivation reliability. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and adaptability, this hybrid is an effective solution for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable corn yields under diverse climatic conditions.
