LOKATA

Corn LOKATA is a medium-early three-line hybrid with FAO 220, intended for grain and silage production. The plant is of medium height with narrow leaves and a long, slightly conical ear, which attaches at a height of about 90 cm. The ear contains 12-14 rows of kernels, with approximately 40 kernels per row, and a 1000-kernel weight of 346 g. Kernel type is intermediate, closer to starchy, with a yellow upper part and yellow-orange lower part. The vegetation period lasts about 117 days, corresponding to the average flowering and maturity period of the hybrid. Hybrid LOKATA exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases, including downy mildew, fusarium, stalk rot, lodging, and damage by corn borer. Additionally, the plant shows high field germination and resistance to corn smut. Anthocyanin pigmentation is weak or absent, characteristic for leaves, roots, and husks. Leaves are curved, and the tassel has medium density with a long main axis forming a medium or large angle with lateral branches. LOKATA is suitable for cultivation in various soil-climatic conditions, including the Central Chernozem region. The hybrid is less demanding on soils and demonstrates high grain yield—average 77.7 c/ha, with maximum yields up to 103 c/ha. The plant has high water shedding, facilitating harvest and reducing grain moisture at collection. Recommended planting density is 75,000 plants per hectare for grain and 85,000–90,000 for silage, enabling efficient utilization of the hybrid's potential for producing high-energy feed and quality grain.
