NK Eagle

NK Eagle corn is a versatile early-maturing hybrid developed for high-quality grain, silage, and meal production. This hybrid is distinguished by its high adaptability and cold tolerance, making it the optimal choice for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions. Thanks to its Stay Green type, NK Eagle retains green mass until harvest, contributing to high-quality silage and grain. The hybrid has high yield potential: grain can reach 14–15 tons per hectare, and silage — 7–8 tons per hectare.

Morphological and agronomic characteristics of NK Eagle corn include FAO 190, simple hybrid type, and a flinty-ridged kernel type with starch content of 72–75%. The plant demonstrates strong early growth and rapid early development, allowing its use for early planting. The hybrid is drought-tolerant, frost-resistant, and lodging-resistant, and also shows tolerance to diseases such as stalk rot and helminthosporium. Seed treatment technology can be either conventional or minimal.

For successful cultivation of NK Eagle corn, it is recommended to follow agronomic practices including irrigation, weeding, cultivation, and fertilization. Soil temperature at planting should not be lower than 10°C. Due to its characteristics, this hybrid is suitable for double-cropping and ensures high-quality products suitable for processing into meal and for feed purposes.
