Description
NS 3033 is a mid-season hybrid corn of Serbian origin, successfully grown in Ukraine since 2010-2011. It is recommended for planting in forest-steppe, steppe zones, and northern areas within the Polesie region. The hybrid features a strong stalk up to 2.5 meters tall and elongated conical ears with 35 to 46 kernels per row. The active vegetative period lasts approximately four months, ensuring stable plant development under various climatic conditions.
NS 3033 is primarily intended for grain production, widely used for livestock feed and bioethanol production. Additionally, the hybrid is suitable for silage production, yielding over 600 centners of green mass per hectare. It demonstrates high genetic resistance to major corn diseases such as rust, downy mildew, helminthosporium, stalk and root rot, as well as drought tolerance and resistance to strong winds.
The hybrid quickly adapts to various soil types and stressful conditions, including herbicide application and mechanical soil treatment at the beginning of the growing season. NS 3033 seeds produce uniform, vigorous germination in warmed and moist soil. Plants respond well to soils with medium to high fertility, especially under conventional or minimal tillage systems. The grain of this hybrid exhibits intensive moisture loss during maturation, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. Average national yield is around 105 c/ha, with potential maximums reaching 150 c/ha under proper care and agronomic practices.

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
