Odessa 298 MV is a mid-season corn hybrid with maturity group FAO 310, intended for cultivation in Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia regions. This simple modified hybrid is characterized by high yields of both grain and silage, reaching 130-135 ц/га for grain and 600-650 ц/га for silage. Plants reach a height of 250-260 cm, do not bush out, and have approximately 16 leaves on the main stem. The ear is nearly cylindrical, 21-23 cm long, with 16-18 rows of kernels and 36-40 kernels per row. The grain is yellow and dent-type, with a 1000-kernel weight of about 300-310 g. Ear attachment height is within 80-90 cm, and the stalk is red.

The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to lodging and cold tolerance, rated at 9 points, as well as good drought resistance (8.5 points). It is resistant to damage by major pests and diseases, ensuring stable yields and reducing risks during cultivation. Pre-harvest plant density varies depending on the cultivation zone: in Steppe, 45-55 thousand plants/ha are recommended; in Forest-Steppe — 60-65 thousand plants/ha; in Polissia — 70-75 thousand plants/ha.
