OdMa 408 M

Corn OdMa 408 M is a high-yielding cereal crop of universal use, widely used in food, feed, and technical sectors. This crop plays a key role in Ukrainian agriculture, significantly affecting the economic status of livestock and grain industries as a whole. Corn grain serves as raw material for producing over 150 food and technical products, including flour, grits, flakes, starch, syrup, glucose, and alcohol. Special importance is given to the use of corn in the fuel-energy sector, where grain is used for producing bioethanol and other types of fuel.

One of the advantages of corn is the high energy value of its grain: from 100 kg, one can obtain 37-40 liters of alcohol, exceeding the yields of other crops. Moreover, vegetable oil rich in lecithin is extracted from corn germ, which helps lower cholesterol levels and prevents atherosclerosis. Technical uses of corn include the production of lignin, xylose, cellulose, and paper. From one centner of grain, significant volumes of starch, high-protein feed, gluten flour, and corn oil are obtained.

To achieve high yields of corn OdMa 408 M, it is necessary to use quality seeds, plant protection products, fertilizers, and ensure proper drying and storage of grain. Despite the reduction in corn acreage in recent years due to unfavorable factors and competition with other crops, corn remains a strategically important and promising crop for domestic consumption and export. Favorable agro-climatic conditions in Ukraine allow not only to meet domestic needs but also to enhance the export potential of this crop.
