Description
Oster SV is a trihybrid corn with a vegetation period from emergence to full maturity in the Forest-Steppe zone of 110–115 days. The plant features a rounded shape of the first leaf tip, moderate anthocyanin pigmentation of the sheath, and weak anthocyanin pigmentation of the stem aerial roots. Full flowering occurs during the early-mid period, and the tassel is loose with a low number of lateral branches. The ear has a conical-cylindrical shape of medium length (19–22 cm), with yellow kernel tips and yellow-orange bases. Grain yield at harvest is 76–80%, starch content is 75.0–76.3%. This corn hybrid has a medium leaf blade angle to stem (31–55°), medium leaf blade width (8.1–10.0 cm), and medium ear stalk length (10.1–20 cm). The time of 'silking' appearance for 50% of plants occurs during the early-mid period, with weak anthocyanin pigmentation of the silk and tassel husks. These characteristics ensure good plant adaptation and stable yield formation. Oster SV is suitable for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe zone and is intended for producing high-quality grain with high starch content. Due to its morphological features and resistance to lodging, this hybrid ensures a stable yield and is convenient for agronomic management. Corn is widely used in the food industry, animal feed production, and processing, making Oster SV a versatile choice for farmers and agronomists.

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
