Description
The plant has a medium height of about 180 cm and a rich above-ground root system, contributing to its drought resistance and vigorous early growth. The ear attachment height is approximately 95 cm, and the grain mass varies from 280 to 300 grams. Each row forms 12 to 14 starchy kernels with protein content of 12.7%, fat 3.9%, and starch 70%. The hybrid tends to produce two ears, increasing its productivity.
Porumbeni 402 is intended for the production of cornmeal, grits, and corn sticks, and is widely used in animal feed (to improve egg quality) for poultry, cattle, pigs, and horses for weight gain. The optimal planting density is 50-60 thousand plants per hectare, and in southern regions — 45-50 thousand. The hybrid demonstrates high yield potential, reaching 120 centners/ha without the need for intensive agrofarming, making it a profitable and reliable choice for agricultural production.
