PORUMBENY 253 AMV is a medium-early, two-line hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) with a maturity period of 108–114 days and FAO 370. The plant is tall, reaching 250–265 cm in height, with 17–18 leaves. The ear is conical, large, with 16–18 rows of kernels, and a red cob. The kernels are yellow, dentate, semi-dentate, elongated, with a 1000-kernel weight of 300–320 g. Grain yield upon shelling is 89–91%. The grain loses moisture moderately quickly upon ripening, facilitating harvest and storage.

The hybrid is characterized by high yield and stable productivity under various growing conditions. Grain yield in steppe zones reaches 77–97 centners per hectare, in zones with sufficient moisture — 110–176 centners per hectare.
