Description
Morphobiological characteristics of corn RAM 8153 include plant height ranging from 250 to 270 cm, with no bushiness and 16-17 leaves on the main stem. The ear is conical-cylindrical in shape, 23-25 cm long, attached at a height of about 90 cm. The kernels are yellow, dent type, arranged in 14-16 rows, with 38-40 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 280-320 grams. Pre-harvest plant density varies depending on the growing zone: in the Steppe region — 40-55 thousand plants/ha, in the Forest-Steppe region — 55-65 thousand plants/ha, in the Polissia region — 65-70 thousand plants/ha.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to lodging (9 out of 9 points), drought tolerance (8 points), as well as good resistance to major pests and diseases (8 points each). These qualities make RAM 8153 ecologically stable and adapted to various agrotechnical conditions, ensuring consistent economic traits and high responsiveness to improved agrofactors. Due to these features, the hybrid is a reliable choice for efficient and sustainable grain production in various climatic zones.
