RGT PRETEXXTE

RGT PRETEXXTE corn is a mid-early simple hybrid included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem and Volga regions of Russia. The plant is tall with broad leaf blades and a slightly conical ear of medium length and diameter. The kernels are toothed, yellow in color, with medium-intensity anthocyanin pigmentation on the cob. The vegetation period ranges from 107 to 114 days depending on the region, with grain moisture at harvest varying from 18.8% to 26.6%. The average yield of the hybrid reaches 75.7–78 centners per hectare, with maximum yields of 113.9 centners per hectare in the Volga region and 101.1 centners per hectare in the Central Chernozem region.

The hybrid demonstrates high adaptability to various climatic conditions and resistance to stress factors, including drought and high temperatures. It exhibits rapid moisture release, reducing drying costs after harvest. RGT PRETEXXTE has a strong stalk and robust root system, ensuring resilience under adverse conditions and contributing to stable yields.

It is recommended to grow this hybrid in monoculture, as well as with minimal or zero soil tillage. The optimal planting density depends on moisture levels: in drought-prone zones — 45–55 thousand plants per hectare, under insufficient moisture — 55–65 thousand, under moderate moisture — 65–70 thousand, and in well-watered zones — 70–75 thousand plants per hectare. Early, optimal, and late planting dates allow flexible adaptation of the crop to specific agroclimatic conditions.
