Shalanda MV

Corn hybrid Shalanda MV is a high-yielding hybrid with a FAO rating of 350, intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe regions. Plants reach a height of 220 to 240 cm, with the lower ear positioned approximately 80-89 cm above the soil. The ears have a conical-cylindrical shape, about 23 cm long, with a red stalk, yellow dent-type kernels arranged in 14-16 rows. Thousand kernel weight ranges from 260 to 280 g, and individual ear weight is 240-260 g.

The hybrid exhibits high grain yield potential, reaching 127-135 centners per hectare, with average yields in forest-steppe regions around 97.3 centners per hectare, and 78-82 centners per hectare in steppe regions. The grain contains 10.5% protein, 6.5% fat, and 2.5% fiber, making it valuable for both food and feed purposes. Recommended plant density at harvest is 40-45 thousand per hectare in steppe zones and 50-55 thousand per hectare in forest-steppe zones.
