Description
Torrano hybrid kernels are dent type, yellow, characterized by large size and 1000-kernel weight ranging from 320-370 grams. The hybrid is characterized by high potential grain yield, reaching 155-160 ц/ha under optimal growing conditions. It quickly sheds moisture during maturation, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. Recommended plant density before harvest is 65-70 thousand plants per hectare in forest-steppe zone and 50-55 thousand plants per hectare in steppe zone.
Torrano exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, fusarium, and common rust, as well as tolerance to corn borer infestations. The hybrid tolerates spring frosts and drought throughout the entire vegetation period, making it a versatile and reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Additionally, it provides high dry matter yield and good digestibility when used for silage, expanding its application possibilities in agriculture.

Corn hybrids are classified by maturity groups and by the FAO number. All corn hybrids are distributed according to the FAO scale. Under Central European conditions, a difference of 10 FAO units between hybrids results in a 1-2 day difference in their maturity. The higher the FAO... |

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
