VILKSON

The VILKSON corn hybrid is a mid-early maturing variety intended for grain production. The vegetation period averages 112 to 119 days, allowing effective use in various climatic conditions. The grain type is intermediate, closer to flint, with a characteristic yellow-orange hue on the upper part, indicating high quality and nutritional value of the harvest.

This hybrid demonstrates resistance to common smut, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. However, it shows moderate susceptibility to stalk rot, requiring adherence to agronomic practices to maintain plant health. In regions such as the Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Oblast, VILKSON exhibits resistance to southern helminthosporiosis, but may be susceptible to stalk borer and Fusarium stalk rot, which must be considered when planning crop protection.

VILKSON is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem and Volga regions, where average grain yields reach 73.8–79.3 c/ha. In the Krasnodar Krai and Rostov Oblast, yields average around 49.7 c/ha. This hybrid is suitable for farmers aiming to achieve a stable, high-quality corn harvest with good adaptation to various soil-climatic conditions.
