ZETA 115 S

Corn Zeta 115 S is an ultra-early three-line hybrid of French origin, intended for cultivation as grain or silage. This hybrid belongs to the early-maturing group with FAO 115-120, ensuring uniform grain maturity up to the wax stage within a vegetation period of about 84 days. Plants have a medium height of approximately 200-220 cm, narrow leaves, and medium anthocyanin coloration of the first leaf sheath. The conical-cylindrical ear, about 24 cm long, contains 12-14 rows of cream-colored yellow-orange kernels. Zeta 115 S exhibits high resistance to stress factors: drought resistance is rated at 7 points, heat and cold resistance — 8 points each, and resistance to lodging in the maturity phase reaches 9 points. The hybrid shows moderate susceptibility to stalk rot, is weakly affected by stalk rot, and is moderately damaged by corn borer. Protein content in the grain is 12-14%, starch — 71%, ensuring high quality of feed and processing raw material. Dry matter content in green mass averages 28.8%, exceeding standard indicators. Hybrid Zeta 115 S demonstrates high yield potential — up to 12 tons per hectare for grain and up to 118 centners of normalized dry matter for silage. It responds well to high fertility and develops optimally at a planting rate of 95,000 seeds per hectare under stable moisture conditions. Due to its characteristics and resistance, this hybrid is suitable for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones, including the West Siberian region, and can be used in organic farming, rotational cropping, and irrigated areas.
