The 'Sugrob' dahlia, developed by 'Vashe Khozyaistvo', is a benchmark of the giant decorative dahlia class. The primary design objective in creating this cultivar was achieving an optimal equilibrium between a massive inflorescence and the structural integrity of the peduncle, capable of supporting a heavy floral head without losing verticality.

Technical Parameters of the Generative System

• Inflorescence Diameter: 21–30 cm. Such significant dimensions are achieved through high-density arrangement of ray florets, forming a dense, nearly perfect spherical structure.
• Plant Height: 70–100 cm. As a mid-sized variety, it fits well in both foreground and mid-ground landscape placements, generally requiring minimal support if shielded from high wind loads.

The biological capacity of this cultivar allows for effective cultivation in both open soil and container systems. In container gardening, the volume of the root zone is critical: for full development of the giant blooms, containers of at least 15–20 liters with high-quality drainage are recommended. This ensures the stable nutrient uptake required for the formation of large buds.

Agrotechnical Guidelines

To achieve the advertised floral size (up to 30 cm), strict adherence to fertilization protocols is essential. 'Sugrob' responds exceptionally well to potassium-phosphorus blends, which reinforce stem rigidity. For cut flower production, it is important to harvest at the 3/4 bloom stage to maximize vase life and turgor maintenance. In landscape design, the cultivar's utility is driven by its high contrast and the extreme purity of the petals, which simulate the visual effect of freshly fallen snow within a garden bed.
