A powerful duo of systemic triazoles for total control of foliar diseases in cereals.
Description
Synergy of Triazoles: Technical Analysis of the Composition
The efficacy of the "Berserk" fungicide is rooted in the combination of two systemic active ingredients from the triazole class: propiconazole (250 g/l) and cyproconazole (80 g/l). This pairing is not merely a marketing choice but a calculated tool for managing the speed and depth of impact on pathogens.
Propiconazole provides a rapid "start" and a potent curative effect by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cells, which leads to the immediate cessation of mycelium growth. Cyproconazole, in turn, exhibits high mobility within plant tissues (acropetal movement), allowing it to quickly redistribute throughout new wheat growth, protecting even untreated parts of the plant in the initial days following application.
Agrotechnical Advantages of the Formulation
- Systemic Protection: The emulsion concentrate ensures rapid penetration into the leaf epidermis, which is critical when combating pathogens that hide deep within the tissues.
- Broad Spectrum Control: The product is designed to suppress outbreaks of helminthosporiosis, septoria, rhynchosporium, and tan spot (pyrenophora). Notably, it shows high efficacy against powdery mildew, one of the most aggressive pathogens of winter cereals.
- Dosage Flexibility: The application rate varies from 0.5 to 1.0 l/ha, depending on the phytosanitary condition of the crops and the intensity of the infection development.
The product can be applied up to two times per season. Adhering to the regulations (especially when treating during the stem elongation or early heading phases) allows for the full preservation of the leaf canopy, which is the defining factor for grain filling. The product belongs to hazard class 2, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols when handling the solution.
